There’s something special about being a marriage celebrant, officiating weddings and elopements in Northern NSW. Elopements and weddings in Byron Bay, Cabarita Beach and the surrounding beaches and mountains are always an incredible experience.

A Byron Bay wedding or a Byron Bay elopement has a certain “feel” or “vibe”. As a bride and groom getting married or eloped and deciding on a location in the Byron Bay region to marry, you want a wedding with all the feels you can remember. Your wedding day should be kind, cuddly and wrap you up, whispering love and warm fuzzies throughout your day. You want to look back on your special wedding day with vivid memories and that ‘feeling’ that will last with you forever.

I have been a Marriage Celebrant in Byron Bay for years now as a preferred and partnered marriage celebrant with Byron Bay Weddings. I have had the pleasure of being apart of some very very cool marriage ceremonies! I have seen some venues that quite simply blow my mind. So, in no particular order and not to leave other amazing Byron Bay wedding venues I am yet to present at off the list, here is my current favourite handful of venues to consider holding your Byron Bay Wedding or elopement at…

Figtree | Byron Bay – the HQ of Byron Bay Weddings

This place will leave you gobsmacked! Whether it’s the bespoke staff that has been handpicked to serve you and your wedding. The food, the view of Byron Bay, the cool flow of breeze as it whispers through that beautiful big figtree. The glowing light, the soft petals, the olive tress or the sense of home’ you feel when you step foot onsite. Figtree will wrap you up and give you a wedding day you cant wait to tell your grandkids about! 

EarthHouse | 30 minutes West of Byron Bay

EarthHouse lies this chalet, made from real earth; owned and operated by Munro and home to some of the finest wedding party shin-digs in the Byron Bay wedding scene. With a North facing balcony, polished concrete floors, large, leafy amphitheatre and views for days over the Byron Bay hinterlands, this is the ultimate Byron Bay hinterland wedding venue. Sophistication at its best and just a short bus ride away from the heart of the bay. Check it out.

The Orchard Estate | Bangalow, Byron Bay Region

Drive outta town, head west and forget about the crowd for a while. Once you’ve driven west from Bangalow for about 20 mins, you’ll drive into this macadamia nut farm / turn picturesque wedding venue. Nestled on 100 acres, there’s plenty of room for your dancing shoes and 100 of your besties to shake it royally after you tie the knot down in between the orchards. You’ll feel right at home amongst the Orchards and rolling hills just a quick bus ride to town.

Forget Me Not Weddings| Bangalow, Byron Bay Region

Have you ever rowed a boat into your own wedding? Now you can. This quaint little venue just 5 mins from Bangalow and 10 mins from Byron Bay is friendly, warm, and will make you want to smile (on the inside). Get married or eloped next to the pond in a private intimate setting, then walk around to the marquee for a soirée to make your destination wedding day dreams in Byron Bay become a reality. 

Barefoot at Broken | Byron Bay

More like something out of a fairytale or from your best childhood memory. Barefoot at Broken is perfect for your lunchtime wedding ceremony or elopement. Its privacy is deceiving, but once you walk through the garden to the picturesque scene, this modern, chic and private property will put you at ease and kick all those worries to the curb. 

Beach | Byron Bay

Ocean side elegance with a midnight curfew…. What? A midnight curfew in Byron Bay? – unheard of, not if you get married here….. Quintessential Byron Bay summer vibes with food, views and service to match any venue on the world stage. Beach is literally on the beach at Byron Bay and oozes good times and style from start til midnight….. And if midnight is not enough, just walk into town and hit up cheeky monkeys!

Byron Bay Surf Club| Byron Bay

A surf club indeed. On the beach, in the heart of Byron bay, ocean views more than the eye can see and a stones through away from main street of Byron Bay. Take advantage of the massive floating balcony (ok that’s a lie, but it feels like you’re on the ocean), the vast amount of space to move on the D floor and bring in your fav caterers, musicians, stylists and décor to pimp out this space in the heart of Byron Bay. Your style, your way, your day.

Byron View Farm | Byron Bay

It’s exactly that. A farm with views of Byron Bay. Take a step back from town and head west out of town for about 5 mins and get yourself to Byron View Farm. Perfect for Elopements or that dreamy afternoon wind down. Pour yourself your favourite bevvie and settle into the afternoon delight. It’s in slow gear, or maybe that’s the cows just mooing and chewing. Cosy on up next to the cottage and forget about time for a while. It’s rustic, earthy and real. One of my favourites because of the natural beauty and endless space that surrounds the Byron View Farm.
